Antique French Melon Cloche - D
A bell-shaped garden cloche dating from France in the late 19th Century.
THIS CLOCHE MEASURES - 40 X 40CM APPROX. EACH ONE IS UNIQUE AND NO TWO ARE ALIKE IN COLOUR TEXTURE OR FORM.
Made from thick hand blown glass glass, it was designed to act as a small green house for lettuces and melons in the potager.
Glass domes such as this can be transformed into spectacular light fittings when suspended upside down.
There is a small knob on the top.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
